1 teaspoon lemon peel
For convenience, buy pre-baked bizcochuelo. Otherwise, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
4 egg whites
Add yolks one by one while gradually adding sugar. Reduce mixer speed and add remaining ingredients one spoon at a time.
4 egg yolks
Preheat oven to 350 °F.
½ cup sugar
Pour mixture in a rectangular baking pan
4 tablespoons of corn starch
Bake for about 20 minutes or until it turns golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
3 tablespoons corn flour
Bath the bizcochuelo with mixture of tres leches completely covering until it absorbs into the dough.
Decorate with meringue, strawberries, or whipped cream and refrigerate until ready to serve.
